Job Description
Do you have accounting experience? Luttrell Staffing Group is currently hiring Accounts Specialist (Payables/Receivables) positions in San Luis Obispo.
Details for Accounts Specialist (Payables/Receivables) position:
- $27-27 / Hour
- 8:30am-5pm
- Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire

Job duties for Accounts Specialist (Payables/Receivables):
- Record and track incoming payments
- Follow up with vendors/donors on outstanding payables and receivables
- Receive and verify invoices for accuracy
- Code and enter invoices into the accounting system
- Schedule and prepare payments (checks, ACH, etc.)
- Ensure timely payment of vendor invoices
- Reconcile vendor accounts
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies
- Prepare gift and grant reports, providing timely data to the organization
- Provide regular updates on the status of receivables
- Communicate with vendors regarding billing questions and payment arrangements
- Address and resolve any AR issues
- Completes any other related tasks as needed
Qualifications for Accounts Specialist (Payables/Receivables):
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred
- Proven experience as an AR/AP Specialist or in a similar role is preferred
- Effective English communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
- Familiarity with basic accounting principles and procedures
- Competency with Excel, including the ability to create and manipulate spreadsheets
- Ability to sit for duration of shift
- Ability to stoop, bend, squat, kneel, twist and reach
