Details for Human Resource Coordinator position:

Job duties for Human Resource Coordinator:
- Responsible for providing support, communicating, and ensuring compliance with the Global Food Safety Policy Manual and PROC 7.2
- Ensuring compliance with the Security and Food Defense Policy SOP 2.5 – specifically related to the tracking, issuing and activating/ deactivating employee and visitors’ badges
- Supports FSSC communication efforts including memos, postings, etc.
- Process payroll and attendance for the assigned facility (ensure compliance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement)
- Coordination and maintenance of HR and government regulated programs, including but not limited to, federal/state labor postings, DOL 7-day permit, employment verifications, wage and hour law compliance and check requests
- Enter required data into Workday (HRIS) system
- Support the HR Generalists and HR Manager with various HR assignments
- Maintain department filing system, log HR requests, create and translate memos and postings, sort and distribute mail and faxes, maintain HR expense budget and order office supplies
- Ensure compliance with Locker SOP (employee locker registration, fumigation and inspection process, etc)
- Support special projects as needed
- Maintain HR communication boards
- Facilitate visits from auditors and government agencies, including FDA, to ensure compliance with the company's food safety, safety and security procedures
- Assist employees with benefits, maintain employee data base, supplement payroll, manage all insurance billings and maintain employee files
- Provide new hire benefit orientations, and enrollments
- Prepare and setup meetings designed to help employees obtain information and understand company benefits and other related incentive programs
- Responsible for all union and non-union benefit plans
- Ensure accuracy and timely processing of new hire enrollments, qualifying events, open enrollment, etc
- Coordinate and maintain company records at off-site storage facility
- Liaison for vending machine vendors
- Completes any other related tasks as needed
Qualifications and desired skills for Human Resource Coordinator:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience processing payroll/Human Resources, working in a manufacturing or Union environment AS400
- Kronos, Ceridian, or Workday experience preferred
- Ability to sit for duration of shift
- Computer literate (MS Office: Excel, Word and Power Point)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)
- Bilingual English/Spanish
