Job Description
Do you have manufacturing experience? Luttrell Staffing Group is currently hiring Mixing Machine Operator positions in Wytheville, VA.
Details for Mixing Machine Operator position:
· $22.87 / Hour
· 6pm-6am
· Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire
· Zero Fees - you’ll never be charged for any screening service
· Weekly Pay
Job Duties for Mixing Machine Operator:
· Ensure mixed quality and consistency of rubber ingredients per plant regulations and customer technical specifications
· Conduct inspections and audits throughout all mixing production stages
· Recognize, document, and resolve issues related to product and process quality, ensuring implemented solutions are verified and halting any further processing, delivery, or installation of non-conforming products until deficiencies are addressed
· Control further processing and delivery of non-conforming products until deficiencies are resolved
· Prepare and develop rubber compounds, maintaining a viable mixing program aligned with technical specifications
· Oversee operation, routine maintenance, and cleaning of mixers and production equipment
· Communicate production information to management
· Follow all policies and safety procedures in place
· Completes any other related tasks as needed
Qualifications and Desired Skills for Mixing Machine Operator:
· High school diploma or equivalent, or 1-3 months of related experience/training, or a combination of education and experience
· Able to read simple instructions, write basic communications, and present information effectively to individuals and small groups. Capable of following detailed written or oral instructions
· Proficient in arithmetic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals, as well as in calculating rates, ratios, and percentages, and in creating and interpreting bar graphs
· Specific visual skills necessary for this position include the ability to see clearly up close, at a distance, in peripheral vision, as well as depth perception and the capability to adjust focus
· Ability to stand for duration of shift
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
· Ability to stoop, bend, squat, kneel, twist and reach
