Details for Payroll | Accounting Specialist position:
· $29-36 / Hour
· Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire

Job duties for Payroll | Accounting Specialist:
· Performing complex clerical and technical accounting work involving the maintenance and reporting of financial or statistical data, such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, accounts auditing, revenue receipt, input and balancing
· Maintaining and reporting financial data (e.g., accounts payable/receivable, auditing, revenue)
· Preparing various financial reports, reconciliations, and payroll
· Compiling and analyzing data based on accounting principles and regulations
· Managing confidential information with discretion
· Processing customer billing, payments, and resolving disputes
· Preparing tax returns, 1099 forms, and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations
· Communicating with stakeholders to resolve discrepancies and exchange information
· Interpreting and explaining fiscal policies and procedures to staff
· Conducting research and providing recommendations to improve accounting processes
· Implementing internal controls and office procedures
· Completes any other related tasks as needed

Qualifications for Payroll | Accounting Specialist:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Prior experience with a public agency preferred
· Ability to stand for duration of shift
· Ability to lift up to 45 lbs
· Ability to stoop, bend, squat, kneel, twist and reach
