Job Description
Luttrell Staffing Group is currently hiring Program Assistant | Senior Center positions in Mt Sterling, KY.
Details for Program Assistant | Senior Center position:
· Part-Time
Job duties for Program Assistant | Senior Center:
· Support the Director with providing services funded through the Older Americans Act, including, but not limited to, nutritional programs, evidence-based exercise programs, transportation services, information and assistance, and outreach
· Congregate Meals:
· Assist with unloading congregate food from van
· Check, document, and report food, refrigerator and freezer temperatures
· Clean carriers/coolers
· Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed
· Wash and put away dishes and flatware
· Assisting with the planning and coordinating activities for seniors, participating in evidence-based trainings, obtaining required certifications, promoting activities at the senior center site
· Coordinate and implement evidence-based exercise programs
· Ensure a safe environment is provided during activities
· Lead activities in a group setting
· Monitor participants during activities
· Obtain certification(s) for evidence-based exercise programs
· Promote and schedule activities
· Answer calls and assist participants
· Attend trainings; Supervise and train volunteers as needed
· Conduct assessments and reassessments for meal participants
· Address concerns promptly
· Follow policies and regulations
· Contact home-delivered meal participants regularly
· Manage donations and fundraising events
· Provide information and resources
· Handle paperwork and filing
· Completes any other related tasks as needed
Qualifications for Program Assistant | Senior Center:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Ability to stand for duration of shift
· Ability to lift up to 60 lbs
· Ability to stoop, bend, squat, kneel, twist and reach
