Job Duties for Machine Operator | Manufacturing position:
- Operate/monitor injection, compression molding, and thermal processing equipment while maintaining quality standards
- Load materials, adjust machine settings, and conduct post-shift cleaning following 5s methodology
- Inspect products for defects (short shots, splay, deformation) and verify measurements
- Document production output accurately and complete all required paperwork
- Report quality issues, equipment defects, safety concerns, or unsafe acts to leadership
- Maintain workspace organization and ensure parts are stored in sealed containers post-shift
- Communicate process details to replacement operators during shift changes
- Assist leads with production area setup and second operations (drilling, sandblasting, welding)
- Operate injection and compression molding machines plus secondary equipment like drills, sandblasters, files, cutters, and sonic welders
- Follow all policies and safety procedures in place
- Completes any other related tasks as needed
Qualifications and Desired Skills for Machine Operator | Manufacturing position:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- No experience needed - training provided!
- Wear PPE as required
- Clear English reading and writing skills with basic math proficiency (including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, ratios, percentages, and graph interpretation)
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with a strong willingness to learn
- Required vision abilities include close vision and depth perception
- Ability to stand for duration of shift
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stoop, bend, squat, kneel, twist and reach
