Job Duties for Accounting | Cost Analysis Position:
Collaborates effectively with peers and management
Assists Controller with deliverables and deadlines
Supports annual standard cost process and excess/obsolete inventory review
Calculates, reports, and reconciles cycle count metrics
Completes accurate monthly reports and accounting close activities
Reviews transactions for proper impact on inventory and general ledger
Analyzes and reports on variances from standard costs, identifying root causes and corrective actions
Monitors inventory processes and controls, recommending improvements
Demonstrates curiosity to understand workflows and their broader impact
Takes initiative and is solution-oriented
Supports compliance, audits, and site payables process
Follow all policies and procedures in place
Completes any other related tasks as needed
Qualifications and Desired Skills for Accounting | Cost Analysis Position:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; advanced degree or certification (CMA, CFA, CPA) preferred
1–2+ years of manufacturing finance and direct cost accounting experience preferred
SAP and/or Oracle experience preferred
Advanced Excel skills required
Strong analytical abilities
Knowledge of GAAP and SOX
Experience with Hyperion consolidation tools a plus
Effective in cross-functional and remote teams
Skilled at managing multiple critical projects in a fast-paced environment
Clear and concise communicator at all organizational levels
