Job Description

Details for the Slitter Machine Helper Position:
· $17.00/hour
· Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire
· Zero Fees - you’ll never be charged for any screening service

Job Duties and Essential Functions for the Slitter Machine Helper Position:
· The slitter helper is responsible for assisting the slitter operator in set up and completion of the steel cutting and recoiling process
· Responsible for placing of spacers and knives on the tension arm at specified widths for the steel coils to be cut to the customer’s specifications
· Use various saws and drive forklift to move the coils and skids to designated areas
· Occasionally operate the over-head crane to move coils from slitter to packaging
· Completes any other related tasks as needed
Qualifications and Desired Skills for Slitter Machine Helper Position:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Ability to stand for duration of shift
· Comfortable working in a loud manufacturing environment; hearing protection provided
· Ability to lift up to 70 lbs
· Able to read basic measurements and follow instructions
· Can communicate with coworkers clearly and respectfully
· Access to steel toed boots/shoes
· Ability to stoop, bend, squat, kneel, twist and reach
