Job Description

Job Duties for Accounting Clerk/Staff Accountant position:
- Maintain financial records by tracking transactions, assets, liabilities, and profits/losses while preparing accurate statements and account reconciliations
- Record daily transactions (sales, purchases, expenses, payroll) and verify invoice accuracy for accounts payable/receivable processing
- Perform account reconciliations, journal entries, and internal audits to safeguard assets and resolve discrepancies
- Prepare financial reports (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow) and assist in budgeting, forecasting, and audit support
- Manage month-end/year-end closing, fixed assets, and collaborate cross-departmentally to organize financial documentation
- Follow all policies and procedures in place
- Completes any other related tasks as needed
Qualifications and Desired Skills for Accounting Clerk/Staff Accountant position:
- Accounting Degree
- CPA preferred but not required
- Detail-oriented with strong accuracy in data entry, record keeping, and basic calculations
- Proficient in accounting software and data entry applications; SAP experience is a plus!
- Well-organized, able to manage large volumes of paperwork and maintain systematic filing
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and terminology, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communicator
