Job Description
Luttrell Staffing Group is currently hiring Accounts Payable Specialist positions in Abingdon, VA.
Details for Accounts Payable Specialist position:
· $23-27 / Hour
· Full-Time | Direct-Hire
· Zero Fees - you’ll never be charged for any screening service
· Insurance Options (health, dental, vision)
· PTO and Paid Holidays

Job Duties for Accounts Payable Specialist:
· Review, verify, and enter invoices accurately into the accounting system
· Prepare and schedule payments (via checks, ACH, wire transfers) ensuring all payments are made according to established schedules
· Respond to vendor inquiries and reconcile any discrepancies or payment issues
· Reconcile vendor statements and accounts to ensure accuracy
· Assist with month-end closing activities, including accruals and reporting
· Maintain organized and accurate accounts payable files and documentation
· Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and internal controls
· 0Follow all policies and procedures in place
· Completes any other related tasks as needed
Qualifications for Accounts Payable Specialist:
· High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred
· 1-3 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar accounting role
· Familiarity with billing/accounting software (Microsoft Dynamics GP) and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word)
· Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in billing processes
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills for internal coordination
· Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently
· Collaborative attitude for effective interdepartmental teamwork
· Ability to sit for duration of shift
· Ability to stoop, bend, squat, kneel, twist and reach
