Job Description
Luttrell Staffing Group, in partnership with Komatsu, is currently recruiting Boring Mill Operator | Machinist. This is a Direct-Hire position.
Boring Mill Operator sets up and operates all machine shop equipment to make or repair all types of metal parts and equipment.

Boring Mill Operator sets up and operates all machine shop equipment to make or repair all types of metal parts and equipment.
Key duties and details for Boring Mill Operator:
- Read and interpret prints making necessary mathematical calculations to lay out stock or repair damaged parts
- Set up and operate large boring mills, lathes, universal mills and drill presses
- Maintain machine tooling and jigs in an orderly fashion
- Perform routine maintenance and repair on machine shop equipment, and CNC programming of mill
- Schedule: 1st shift during orientation, then move to 2nd or 3rd shift afterwards
- Starting pay rate: $25.64/hr
- Direct-Hire position
- Basic math and computer skills
- Ability to perform metric conversions, read assembly drawings, machine drawings and casting prints
- Ability to use micrometer, caliper, gauges, and dial indicators
- Must be able to operate forklift
- Must be able to properly operate horizontal boring mill, lathe, universal mill and program CNC machine
