Job Description

We are adding a Business Development Manager to be on the front lines making new introductions to companies and expanding into territories by building personal relationships & connections.
Business Development Manager
Requirement(s): Candidates must have a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
Location: Gainesville, GA
Pay: $45-$50K base plus monthly commissions ($600-$1000K expected)
Benefits: H/D/V Insurance; ST/LT; PTO; 401k matching (after 1 year)
Summary: Business Development Managers build market position by identifying, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business relationships, thereby contributing to the growth and profitability of the Company.
Essential Job Functions:
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to display polite and professional etiquette, both verbal and written.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Ability to respond well to pressure while maintaining a positive demeanor.
- Strategic problem-solving and decision-making.
- Excellent time management and planning skills.
- Flexibility to meet situational needs.
- Maintain regular and expected attendance.
- Initiative to assist team members without direction.
- Active communication and involvement with target list accounts, at minimum, monthly.
- Active communication and involvement with commissionable accounts regularly, monthly for medium to large users, or bi-annual for small users.
- Effectively plan and manage appointments, calls, and other interactions.
- Utilize the Applicant Tracking System to track sales development, initiatives, and strategies.
- Sales Activity must be strategic and lead to sales progress.
- Keep abreast of industry, business, and market trends, including competitive information, new businesses, company. closings, layoffs, and expansions/organizational charts.
- Maintain a positive working relationship with all Company staff.
- Schedules monthly meetings to work with Branch Managers and/ Regional Directors to increase productivity.
- Display a professional image for the Company.
- Ability to work and communicate frequently with all internal staff to review progress, establish strategies, and discuss accomplishments, challenges, and goals.
- Participate in educational opportunities, read professional publications, and participate in professional organizations.
- Attend networking opportunities twice monthly, such as SHRM, Chamber functions, HR Associations, etc. Document contacts made in the Applicant Tracking System.
- Maintain accurate files and records such as Information Forms, Proposals, Weekly Sales Reports, and Track Lists.
- Shadow the Branch (Gain understanding of recruiting, screening, & testing procedures.)
- Ability to complete all required training defined by the Company.
- Meet continuing education and certification requirements.
- Provide a valid Driver’s License and proof of insurance.
