Job Description
Do you have production experience? Luttrell Staffing Group is currently hiring Operations Utility Technician position at FPI in Franklin, KY.
Details for Operations Utility Technician position:
- $20.50 / Hour
- Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire

Job Duties for Operations Utility Technician:
- Manage and support events, smaller projects, and LEAN implementation initiatives while documenting entries into database
- Track, document, and support ideas, including forms, presentations, drawings, and benefit/cost calculations
- Facilitate the realization of ideas and motivate employees to meet annual targets
- Promote continuous improvement through Gemba walks, LEAN methods, and employee engagement
- Replace Team Leader as needed and follow standard operating procedures on assembly lines
- Inspect work and equipment per guidelines and report abnormalities to leadership
- Maintain a clean workspace and work toward advancing to Team Leader role
- Enter ideas into the database and score them based on established criteria
- Monitor individual and team performance against targets and send daily reports to supervisors
- Use tools like cardboard layouts, magnetic boards, and drawings for idea representation
- Schedule meetings, update racing boards, and run reports to track progress
- Organize events, campaigns, safaris, and meetings to achieve plant targets
- Assist in planning monthly, quarterly, and annual recognition and reward programs
- Provide onboarding for new hires and deliver regular continuous improvement (CI) training
- Support time studies, CI activities, audits, and standardization efforts across plants
- Identify barriers to success and escalate issues when necessary
- Follow all policies and safety procedures in place
- Completes any other related tasks as needed
Qualifications and Desired Skills for Operations Utility Technician:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Multi-functional skills to perform various job assignments efficiently
- Ability to run operations effectively and conduct required checks
- Proactive with a hands-on approach to tasks and activities
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills for team collaboration
- Proficient in English language
- PC skills (such as Office 365)
- Ability to stand for duration of shift
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
- Ability to stoop, bend, squat, kneel, twist and reach
