Job Duties for Customer Service Representative position:
- Ensure all date entry, scheduling updates and shipping documents are processed accurately to support daily Colgate warehouse operations
- First line of communication between customer and Covenant
- Prioritize and process both Inbound and Outbound paperwork and BOLs (Bill of Lading)
- Aid Inventory Control to complete monthly cycle counts and update system accordingly
- Complete data entry and reporting, as necessary
- Work and perform tasks in loud environments with color coded items
- Work within company warehouse management system and customer operating systems
- Maintain a safe workplace by maintaining a clean work area, remaining alert, and showing proactive thinking in regard to safety risks
- Ability to communicate effectively: in person, or by computer, telephone, 2-way radio or other device(s) as required by management
Qualifications and Desired Skills for the Customer Service Representative role:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Highly organized with exceptional multitasking abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and superior communication skills
- Must be able to show proficiency in computer skills
- Knowledge of basic computer skills and Microsoft Office required
- Willing to learn, and able to retain, use of the company’s warehouse management system
- Ability to stand for the duration of the shift
- Ability to lift up to 45 lbs
- Ability to stoop, bend, squat, kneel, twist and reach
