Job Description
Position: Community Support Partner
Location: Carson, CA
Pay: $29-30 per hour
Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 10:30 AM–2:30 PM
Possibly Sundays, 9:30 AM–12:30 PM, approximately twice per month
Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and engaging Community Support Partner to provide one-on-one support to a young individual with Autism. The ideal candidate enjoys helping others build confidence, independence, and life skills while encouraging meaningful participation in the community.
Responsibilities
Provide one-on-one support in the home and community.
Assist the individual with developing and practicing independent living skills.
Support participation in recreational activities and community outings.
Provide transportation to appointments, activities, and other approved destinations.
Encourage communication, independence, decision-making, and social skills.
Help the individual safely navigate and participate in community settings.
Assist with establishing routines and completing daily tasks.
Provide a positive, patient, and encouraging presence.
Maintain appropriate professional boundaries and follow all safety and support guidelines.
Qualifications
Experience working with individuals with Autism, developmental disabilities, or related support needs is preferred.
Compassionate, patient, dependable, and positive attitude.
Ability to work independently and follow individualized support plans.
Valid driver's license required.
Clean driving record required.
Must have reliable transportation for transporting the individual.
Must successfully pass a background check.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
