Job Description
Looking for a manufacturing position that offers weekly pay? Luttrell Staffing Group is hiring Machine Operator | Lumber positions in Roan Mountain, TN. 
  
  
Details for Machine Operator | Lumber position: 
- $16 / Hour
- Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire 
- Zero Fees - you’ll never be charged for any screening service 
- Weekly Pay

Job duties for Machine Operator | Lumber: 
- Operate saws, planers, edgers, and other lumber-processing machines to meet production goals
- Monitor equipment performance and product quality during operation
- Measure, grade, and inspect lumber to meet customer and mill standards
- Perform basic maintenance, cleaning, and minor repairs on machinery
- Load and unload materials using proper tools and safe handling practices
- Follow all safety procedures, including PPE use and lockout/tagout compliance
- Record production data and report equipment or material issues to supervision
- Stack, sort, and package finished lumber for shipping or storage
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow all policies and safety procedures in place
- Completes any other related tasks as needed 
 
Qualifications and desired skills for Machine Operator | Lumber: 
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a lumber mill, sawmill, or manufacturing environment preferred
- Ability to read measurements and follow written or verbal instructions
- Basic mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting ability
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physical, and noisy setting
- Strong focus on safety, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Use of PPE as required
- Ability to stand for duration of shift  
- Ability to stoop, squat, bend, kneel, twist and reach
