Job Description
Do you have construction experience? Luttrell Staffing Group is currently hiring General Construction | Handyman positions in Santa Maria, CA.
Details for General Construction | Handyman position:
- $20-26 / Hour
- Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire
- Occasional Overtime & Travel/Overnight Stays
- Zero Fees - you’ll never be charged for any screening service
- Fast Start Date
- Weekly Pay
- Upon conversion, the client company covers 100% of dental and medical premiums, 401(k), vacation, sick leave, and holiday pay
Job Duties for General Construction | Handyman:
- Safely use various electric, gas-powered, & battery-operated power tools (Scissor Lifts, Ladders, Pneumatic Nail Guns, Skil Saws, Sawzalls, Panel Saws, Grinders, Drills)
- Build framing, siding, ceilings, paneling, roof, painting, & other
- Demonstrate safe work habits by following supervisor directions, using company equipment respectfully and properly, and effectively utilizing various construction tools
- Follow all policies and safety procedures in place
- Completes any other related tasks as needed
Qualifications and Desired Skills for General Construction | Handyman:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Framing, Siding, Ceilings, Paneling, Roof, Painting, & other
- Strong communicator with extensive construction knowledge, excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, and a positive, adaptable attitude
- Dependable and flexible
- Ability to stand for duration of shift
- Ability to lift up to 50-80 lbs
- Ability to stoop, bend, squat, kneel, twist and reach
