Job Description
Luttrell Staffing Group is currently hiring Fabrication Welder | Platen Crew Lead positions in Carol Stream, IL.

Can you see yourself in this Fabrication Welder | Platen Crew Lead position:
- Construction of platen assemblies
- Proficient in MIG welding in all positions
- Fabricate steel components with tolerances under 0.5 inches
- Operate 10-ton overhead crane
- Ensure plumb, level, and square alignments on 10-foot weldments
- Supervise and train small team of fabricators and helpers
- Grind and finish completed products
- Conduct quality checks on finished components
- Install assemblies into machine structures
- Disassemble components for painting and shipping
- Follow all policies and safety procedures in place
- Other duties as assigned
These skills make you a good candidate:
- High school diploma or GED
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
- Previous MIG welding and/or fabrication experience
- Strong communication skills and ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints
- Experience with forklifts and cranes are a plus
- Ability to stand for duration of shift
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to squat, stoop, bend, kneel, twist and reach
