Job Description
Do you have forklift experience? Luttrell Staffing Group is currently hiring Forklift Operator | Warehouse positions in Suffolk, VA.
Details for Forklift Operator | Warehouse position:
- $19-21/ Hour
- Multiple Shifts Available
- 6am-2pm
- 2pm-12am
- Occasional Overtime
- Full-Time
- Zero Fees - you’ll never be charged for any screening service
- Training provided
Job duties for Forklift Operator | Warehouse:
- Follow all policies and safety procedures in place
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, banders, stretch wrappers and other equipment as needed
- Read and interpret production orders and shipping/receiving and move material to dedicated locations
- Monitor pallet construction and packaging
- Perform regular inspections on forklifts before and after use
- Troubleshoot machinery and perform minor maintenance as needed
- Maintain clean and organized workspace
- Report logs and reports and needed
- Completes any other related tasks as needed
Qualifications and desired skills for Forklift Operator | Warehouse:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be a certified forklift operator
- 1 year of prior experience preferred
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting knowledge
- Ability to read measurements
- Strong attention to detail and communication in team or independent tasks
- Ability to stand or sit for duration of shift
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work in fluctuating temperatures (freezing-100F)
- Ability to stoop, bend, squat, kneel, twist and reach
