Job Description
Do you have basic knowledge of methods, procedures and equipment of a public works crewman? Luttrell Staffing Group is currently hiring Public Works Crewperson | General Labor in Gate City, VA.

Key duties and details for Public Works Crewperson | General Labor:
- Responsible for refuse collection/disposal, load/unload dirt, sweep streets, sidewalks and alleys
- Perform various maintenance duties such as cleaning gutters, spreading rock, sand and salt, shoveling snow, installing water meters and hydrants, repair water leaks, dig and backfill trenches
- Painting various town equipment and property, load garbage onto truck, and clean grounds
- Schedule: 7am-3:30pm, Monday-Friday
- Pay rate: $13-$16.79/hr, depends on experience
- Short-Term
- Paid weekly
Qualifications for Public Works Crewperson | General Labor:
- Basic knowledge of methods, procedures, practices, materials and equipment associated with public works
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to exert up to 75 lbs of force occasionally and 50 lbs of force frequently
- Ability to climb, balance and move objects
- Ability to use measuring devices and perform visual inspection
- Diploma/GED preferred
- Valid CDL preferred
- One year of relevant work experience
- Ability to work outdoors in various environmental conditions
