Key Responsibilities for a General Laborer:
- Loading & Unloading: Safely transport appliances from warehouse to delivery trucks and into customer homes
- Installation Support: Assist lead technicians with moving appliances into place using dollies and straps; help prepare installation areas (including removal of old units)
- Tool Handling: Use basic hand tools (screwdrivers, wrenches, drills) to unpack and assist with assembly or connection of appliances
- Site Cleanup: Remove packaging, debris, and tools after each job to maintain a clean workspace
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety procedures and maintain a safe, organized work environment during heavy lifting and transport
Qualifications and Desired Skills for a General Laborer:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic familiarity with tools and eager to learn installations techniques from seasoned staff
- Must comply with a drug screen
- Able to carry and maneuver heavy material throughout the day; could be moving around 100+
- Demonstrates sound judgment, problem-solving ability, and common sense
- Capable of multitasking and working efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Committed to producing accurate, high-quality work
- Ability to stand, be on feet and move for the duration of the shift
