Details for Laser Cutter Operator position:

• $20.00 or more depending on experience

Job Duties for Laser Cutter Operator:
• Must achieve work-time standards and maintain quality level specified while meeting
the schedule imposed by operation completion date, customer ship date, and plant
safety requirements
• Must read and write ef fectively, comprehend written and oral instruction,
communicate ef fectively with supervisor and other personnel
• Must read and interpret drawings and prints
• Must have working knowledge of metric measurements, geometry, decimals, coordinate measuring systems, machine control codes, and concepts of laser cutting
• Must be able to identify and select specified alloy, heat-number, and size of raw
material
• Set up machine to produce parts f rom drawings, disks, host computer, or keyed
entry
• Load material onto machine, and unload cut part of f machine
• Operate machine to produce the maximum amount of parts f rom the minimum
amount of raw material
• Evaluate quality of cut and adjust Machine Parameter Library (MPL) to achieve
required results
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment
• Verify parts are cut to criteria of job tickets, drawings, and specifications
• Occasionally use hand tools relevant to the work site and machine
• Follow all policies and safety procedures in place
• Complete any other related tasks as needed

Qualifications for Laser Cutter Operator:
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required
• Working knowledge of metric measurements, geometry, decimals, etc
• Ability to use hands to finger, handle, manipulate and feel objects, tools or controls
• Ability to perform close visual inspections
• Ability to stand/walk for duration of shif t
• Ability to lif t up to 125lbs
• Ability to stoop, bend, push/pull, grasp, work f rom heights, climb steps, reach above
shoulders
