Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities for Lead Quality Inspector:
- Read and interpret blueprints, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements
- Perform first article, in-process, final, and incoming material inspections
- Use calipers, micrometers, height gauges, tape measures, scales, and other measuring tools to verify product compliance
- Complete inspection reports and required quality documentation accurately and neatly
- Perform basic calculations involving dimensional and weight measurements
- Maintain organized inspection records and attention to detail throughout the quality process
- Use basic computer programs to enter, track, and maintain quality information
- Support PPAP activities and follow ISO 9001 quality management principles
- Work independently with limited supervision
- Follow all policies and safety procedures in place
- Completes any other related tasks as needed
These skills make you a good candidate for Lead Quality Inspector positions:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One to two years of quality control experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Experience with metal stamping, forming, and welding processes preferred
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Experience using measuring tools, including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, tape measures, and scales
