Job Description

Details for Maintenance Technician Position:
- $50K / Year

Job Duties for Maintenance Technician Position:
- Perform general maintenance including fire alarms, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and appliance repair
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from tenants or property managers
- Conduct regular inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to identify and resolve issues
- Prepare vacant units for new tenants by completing repairs, cleaning, and ensuring readiness
- Assist with seasonal tasks such as snow removal, landscaping, and gutter cleaning
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance work performed
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs
- Ensure compliance with building codes, safety standards, and company policies
- Provide emergency on-call support as scheduled, including nights and weekends
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor with tenants, owners, and coworkers
- Follow all policies and safety procedures in place
- Completes any other related tasks as needed
Qualifications and Desired Skills for Maintenance Technician Position:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years maintenance experience, preferably in residential or commercial property management
- Knowledge of general maintenance, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems
- Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and work orders
- Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, time management, and communication skills
- Ability to stand for duration of shift
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stoop, bend, squat, kneel, twist , climb ladders, and reach
