Job Description

Details for Maintenance Mechanic Position:
- $20-25 / Hour
- Must be available Monday–Friday | 7am–7pm
- Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire

Job Duties for Maintenance Mechanic Position:
- Turn on and off lights power compressor and dryer following standard operating procedures at start and end of production day
- Maintain shop machines by cleaning lubricating and organizing and complete all required forms and paperwork
- Read electrical and pneumatic diagrams to assist with quick equipment repair and troubleshoot production machine issues promptly
- Install facility machinery and work with third parties to ensure parts and tools meet proper tolerances and specifications
- Learn product language setup and operation to stand in for machine operators producing quality products
- Continuously improve facility efficiency through fabrication automation and collaboration with service technicians and OEMs
- Maintain communication with machine operators to ensure wear parts and spare parts are stocked and reorder promptly to avoid production delays
- Perform weekly monthly and annual preventative maintenance on all machinery
- Write and update standard operating procedures and job safety analyses
- Program install repair troubleshoot and maintain facility PLCs frequency drives servo motors machine computers and related software
- Assist machine operators with troubleshooting maintenance and fabrication beyond their capabilities
- Maintain secure organization and cleanliness of tools and shop area
- Follow guidelines for lockout tagout electrical cord inspection ladder training fall protection and lock out equipment when not in use
- Organize inventory research quotes and order parts and tools using proper requisition forms
- Follow all policies and safety procedures in place
- Completes any other related tasks as needed
Qualifications and Desired Skills for Maintenance Mechanic Position:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 10+ years industrial electrician experience in a manufacturing environment
- Advanced electrical skills including 110V–480V systems and PLC programming
- Ability to read, interpret and create schematics, electrical drawings, wire diagrams and ladder logic
- Preferred advanced skills in mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, machining equipment, computer applications, Microsoft Access and AutoCAD
- Manual dexterity for operating machinery and computers
- Ability to stand for full shift duration
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs
- Ability to stoop, bend, squat, kneel, twist and reach
