Details for Machine Operator position:
- $15 / Hour (Raise Upon Conversion)
- Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire (90 days)

Job Duties for Machine Operator position:
- Operates machine to transfer designs or finishes onto cloth using heat and pressure
- Adjusts heat regulation for individual orders, mounts fabric rolls, and threads fabric through rollers
- Monitors machine controls to adjust speed, pressure, and fabric tension for optimal operation and quality
- Observes material flow to prevent damage from seams or trash
- Guides fabric manually, verifies roller temperature, and ensures seamless cloth transfer
- Applies sheer paper under fabric to prevent dye transfer issues
- Inspects and tags finished fabric for defects and color matching
- Conducts necessary lab tests
- Completes paperwork, bags finished rolls, and transfers them to staging area
- File, print documents, and ships samples as directed by customers
- Follow all policies and safety procedures in place
- Completes any other related tasks as needed
Qualifications and Desired Skills for Machine Operator position:
- High school diploma or equivalent; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong reading and writing skills for instructions and correspondence
- Effective presentation skills for one-on-one and small group interactions
- Proficient in basic math operations and interpreting rates, ratios, and percentages
- Capable of solving practical problems with limited standardization and interpreting various forms of instructions
- Required vision abilities: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
- Ability to stand for duration of shift
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs; heavier items as part of a team lift
- Ability to stoop, bend, squat, kneel, twist and reach
