Can you see yourself in this Line Operator | Machine Operator position:
- Operate and monitor multiple CNC machines used in automotive wheel bearing production
- Start-up and shut-down machines
- Operate, monitor, and adjust machines in grinding, assembly, or broach and turning line
- Supply components to hoppers, indexing poles, or conveyor
- Change worn machine accessories using hand tools
- Visually inspect and sort defective parts
- Measure components with precision instruments to ensure they meet requirements
- Troubleshoot machine alarms and take appropriate action
- Record quality inspection data and production information
- Enter inventory transactions using Bar Code Inventory system
- Perform machine preventative maintenance
- Other duties as assigned
These skills make you a good candidate:
- High school diploma or GED
- Basic mechanical knowledge of computerized machines, gauges, and hand tools
- General knowledge of material handling, manufacturing processes, quality control systems
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, and decimals
- Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing
- Ability to follow instructions in written, oral, or diagram form
- Respond promptly to a sound or light signal when it occurs
- Concentrate on a task over several minutes without being distracted
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Detail oriented
- Ability to stand for duration of shift
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to squat, stoop, bend, kneel, twist and reach
