Details for CNC Programmer Position: 
  • $25-35 / Hour 
  • Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire (8-Week Assignment)

Job Duties for CNC Programmer Position: 
  • Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs for mills, lathes, and other machinery
  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications
  • Select cutting tools, speeds, and feeds for efficient, accurate machining
  • Set up and test new programs, verifying dimensions with precision tools
  • Collaborate with machine operators to troubleshoot and ensure smooth operation
  • Edit existing programs to improve cycle time, tool life, and part quality
  • Maintain documentation for programs, revisions, and tooling requirements
  • Monitor production processes for adherence to quality standards
  • Work with engineering and production teams on design improvements
  • Follow safety and compliance guidelines in all programming activities
  • Follow all policies and safety procedures in place
  • Completes any other related tasks as needed 
 
Qualifications and Desired Skills for CNC Programmer Position: 
  • High school diploma or equivalent required, technical degree or CNC certification preferred
  • Minimum 5 years CNC programming experience with software such as Mastercam, Fusion 360, or SolidCAM
  • Strong understanding of G-code, machining principles, and tooling
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Proficient with precision measurement tools like calipers, micrometers, and gauges
  • Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Preferred skills include experience with CAD/CAM software, lean manufacturing principles, and multi-axis machining
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment is advantageous
  • Ability to stand for duration of shift 
  • Ability to lift up to 30-50 lbs 
  • Ability to stoop, bend, squat, kneel, twist and reach
