Job Description
Do you have experience in utility positions and looking for an opportunity with weekly pay? Luttrell Staffing Group is currently hiring Wastewater Technician positions in Kingsport, TN.
Details for Wastewater Technician Position: 
- $19 / Hour 
- Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire 
- Zero Fees - you’ll never be charged for any screening service 
- Weekly Pay 
 
Job Duties for Wastewater Technician Position: 
- Operate, monitor, and maintain wastewater treatment equipment and systems to ensure efficient processing
- Perform routine testing and inspections of water quality parameters, adjusting processes to meet regulatory standards
- Conduct preventive maintenance, troubleshoot malfunctions, and record operational data accurately
- Handle chemical dosing, biosolids management, and safe disposal of treatment byproducts
- Follow all safety protocols, environmental regulations, and maintain clean work areas
 
Qualifications and Desired Skills for Wastewater Technician Position: 
- High school diploma or GED, with vocational training or certification in wastewater treatment preferred
- Valid driver's license and ability to obtain wastewater operator certification (e.g., Class D or equivalent)
- 1-2 years of experience in wastewater operations, maintenance, or related field
- Basic knowledge of water quality testing, pumps, valves, and treatment processes
- Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and ability to read gauges and interpret data
- Ability to stand for duration of shift 
- Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs 
- Ability to stoop, bend, squat, kneel, twist and reach
