Details for Tooling Technician | Manufacturing Position:
- $26-35 / Hour
- Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire

Job Duties for Tooling Technician | Manufacturing Position:
- Maintain, repair, and ensure proper operation of tools, molds, jigs, fixtures, and equipment used in production
- Set up, align, and calibrate tooling for production runs to meet quality standards
- Inspect tools for wear or damage and perform routine maintenance or repairs
- Troubleshoot tooling or equipment issues to minimize downtime
- Fabricate, modify, or adjust tools to meet specific production requirements
- Keep accurate maintenance and tooling records in line with company standards
- Collaborate with engineers, production, and maintenance teams to improve tooling performance
- Operate cranes and equipment safely while following all safety and lockout/tagout procedures
- Address and correct unsafe conditions or hazards immediately
- Train and support staff on proper tooling use and care
- Follow all company policies and complete other related duties as needed
Qualifications and Desired Skills for Tooling Technician | Manufacturing Position:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certificate or diploma from a technical or vocational program in machining, tool and die, or mechanical fields preferred
- 3–5 years of tool and die repair or related experience
- Proficient in operating lathes, mills, grinders, band saws, and CNC machines
- Strong understanding of tooling principles, materials, and manufacturing processes
- Skilled in diagnosing, repairing, and improving mechanical systems and tooling
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Familiar with CAD/CAM software and related computer tools
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and precision in setup, calibration, and repair tasks
- Knowledge of safety practices and protocols in a manufacturing environment
- Physically able to stand for long periods, lift 30–50 lbs, and climb or reach to adjust tools as needed
