- Maintain awareness of all equipment assigned to them during production operations
- Be able to identify and correct any problems, including jams, bad or missing belts, missing ironer tape, etc on equipment assigned
- Preventative Maintenance Scheduled Task
- Must be able to understand the necessity of PM’s and have the ability to perform them
- Ensure PM’s issued are completed on schedule
- Ensure all scheduled tasks issued are completed in a timely manner
- Assist technical and mechanical personnel, including outside vendors as needed
- Maintain the maintenance log by making entries of incomplete tasks and new problems
- Must have solid communication skills
- Notify Production Supervisors of equipment status affecting production/causing downtime and alert when equipment is back online
- Contact direct supervisor with any situations or problems when assistance is needed
- Use of PPE when needed: safety glasses and hearing protection
- Other duties as needed
- Technical Degree or accredited apprenticeship program of the equivalent in a technical field
- Must be able to operate tools safely
- Must be able to understand all safety procedures, including but not limited to lock-out/tag-out, confined space entry and working on hot equipment
- Must be able to maintain a clean and safe work area
- Must have a good working knowledge of machinery
- Must be able to help repair and maintain conveyor systems, overhead rail systems, mechanical drive systems
- Ability to stand for duration of shift
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stoop, bend, squat, twist, kneel and reach
