Job Duties for Material Handler | General Labor position:
- Responsible for coordinating all activities required to stage manufacturing orders in support of production requirements
- Verify the accuracy of the orders by comparing information on requisitions, invoices, and shipping notices to material received or issued
- Mark identifying information on material
- Move material to and from storage areas as well as the production lines using ground transportation equipment
- Use basic math skills to prepare material procurement requests via MAC-PAC software as well as the manual requisition forms
- Maintain a clean and neat warehouse and staging area
- Follow Employee Handbook policies and procedures and uphold organizational values
- Report to supervision conditions or practices that are unsafe
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Minimum of 3 months related work experience
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Ability to use basic hand tools
- Basic math and reading skills
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand for duration of shift
- Ability to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, twist and reach
- Hand dexterity
