Job Description
Luttrell Staffing Group is currently hiring for a NEW company in Logan County, KY! Material Handler/Sorter position:
- Pay: $16 an hour
- Hours: 6am-4pm Monday-Friday, some Saturdays if needed.
- Separate, sort, and process all materials by using necessary process machinery to complete tasks.
- Keep area neat and clean at all times including at the end of the shift which requires bending, twisting and lifting up to 50 lbs., with assistance, into a container 4' high.
- Identify and remove foreign contaminants from conveyor.
- Ensure material is properly inspected by controlling the speed of the conveyor.
- Recognize and complies with affected employee LockOut / TagOut procedures.
- Ensure line is running at maximum efficiency by running conveyor switches.
- Report all mechanical problems to maintenance personnel promptly.
- Use required PPE protective equipment as required which includes, but is not limited to, proper ear, eye, hand protection.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
- Must be able to interact in person with peers and management for the duration of the shift.
- Must be able to handle high stress situations.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- 6 months to 1 year of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal work instruction and safety standards.
- Ability to work in a loud, wet, dusty and physically demanding work environment including extreme hot and cold temperature variations.
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Ability to train others while performing the essential duties of this job.
