Job Description

Luttrell Staffing Group is hiring a Manufacturing Metal Polisher & Sander.
Job Details and Duties for Manufacturing Metal Polisher & Sander:
  • $17-23 / Hour
  • Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire
  • Zero Fees - you’ll never be charged for any screening service
  • Clean, sand, and polish materials to remove imperfections and prepare surfaces for finishing
  • Interpret blueprints and complex schematics to assist in part creation
  • Identify and repair defects like cracks and knotholes through sanding and filling
  • Operate hand and power tools including grinders, polishers, and sanders to achieve quality results
  • Inspect finished pieces against templates or specifications to ensure standards are met
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area
Job Requirements and Desired Skills for Manufacturing Metal Polisher & Sander:
  • Prior related work experience preferred
  • Ability to use a variety of hand tools
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to see details up close with strong peripheral, color, and depth perception and adjust focus quickly
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Skilled at identifying and correcting defects during sanding and polishing
    Manual dexterity with excellent hand-eye coordination
    Solid understanding of metal properties, nesting, and work order process
    Able to work independently with focus or collaborate within a team
  • Good attention to detail
  • Ability to stand for duration of shift
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
  • Ability to squat, stoop, bend, kneel, twist and reach
