Job Description
Do you enjoy problem-solving and working in a team? Luttrell Staffing Group is looking for an experienced 1st shift Multi-Spindle/Davenport Operator in Knoxville, TN.
Details for the Multi-Spindle/Davenport Operator:
· $20-27/hour based on experience
· Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire
· 1st Shift: 6am-2:30pm | Monday - Friday
· Zero Fees - you’ll never be charged for any screening service

Job Duties for the Multi-Spindle/Davenport Operator opening:
· Optimize day-to-day activities while minimizing the costs
· Ensure that production processes deliver products of maximum quality in a profitable manner and smooth flow of machining projects
· Operate and set up machines assigned to you
· Ensure the safe use of equipment and regular maintenance of tooling
· Check production output according to specifications and programs
· Submit reports on performance and tooling changes
· Identify issues in efficiency and suggest improvements in our shop
· Follow safety guidelines and company standards
Qualifications and Desired Skills for the Multi-Spindle/Davenport Operator position:
· High school or equivalent (preferred) and a degree in a technical, engineering, or relevant field desirable (preferred)
· May be required to obtain hand tools and/or measuring equipment
· Ability to read, understand and interpret engineering drawings (i.e. blueprints) and how to measure according to print
· Willing to Learn how to dispose of oils, material, and scrap
· Perform math skills such as ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all measurement units using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
· Inspect part produced after set-ups using precision measuring tools including micrometers and calipers
· Comfortable and experienced with a loud manufacturing environment
· Ability to stand for duration of shift
· Hand dexterity
· Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
· Able to perform a variety of [physical movement, including but not limited to handling, grabbing, reaching, push/pull, crouching, and kneeling
· Frequent lifting up to 35lbs. Occasional lifting of 75lbs and rare team lifting up to 100lbs.
· Access to key, safety footwear such as steel or composite-toed boots/shoes
· Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions
· Availability for a 2nd interview
