Community Support Partner 

Location: Bakersfield, CA
Pay: $24-$25.00 per hour
Schedule: Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, 6:00am to 7:30am AND 5:30pm to 9:00pm
Hours: Approximately 13.5 hours per week, with some flexibility 

Position Overview 

We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and supportive Community Support Partner to assist an individual with a developmental disability in building independence and successfully managing daily activities. The ideal candidate is patient, responsible, and comfortable providing hands-on support while encouraging the individual to develop and maintain their independence. 

Responsibilities 

The Community Support Partner will provide support with: 

• Assistance with daily living activities, including dressing and personal care 

• Meal preparation and cooking 

• Cleaning and household chores 

• Organization and maintaining the home 

• Transportation and driving to appointments, errands, and other activities 

• Healthcare management and coordination 

• Scheduling and attending appointments as needed 

• Connecting with community resources and assisting with resource procurement 

• Coordinating referrals and following up with providers and agencies 

• Supporting the individual with completing follow-up activities and staying organized 

• Encouraging independence, self-advocacy, and participation in the community 

• Providing companionship and positive support while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries

Qualifications 

• Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred 

• Compassionate, patient, and dependable 

• Strong communication and organizational skills 

• Comfortable assisting with daily living and household tasks 

• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation 

• Must be able to pass a background check 

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect the individual's privacy 

• Ability to work independently and follow through with assigned responsibilities

Schedule & Compensation 

• $$24-25.00 per hour 

• Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 

• 6:00am to 7:30am AND 5:00 PM–9:30 PM 

• Some flexibility in the schedule may be available
