Details for Processing Engineer | Materials Engineer:
  • Full-Time
  • Temp-to-Hire
  • Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
  • $33+/hr, based on experience

Can you see yourself in Processing Engineer | Materials Engineer position?
  • Responsible for the development and operations processing, quality performance, safety, equipment capability and other aspects of material processing and products
  • Understand and ensure processes and products comply to customer, environmental, quality and safety standards and codes as well as company policy and procedures
  • Lead process design for new product development 
  • Support improvement and optimization of existing processes
  • Provide meaningful recommendations on equipment and process effects on cost, quality and yield
  • Analyze and compile data collected during production runs
  • Interpretation of customer requirements and specifications
  • Provide assistance to mechanical engineers
  • Other duties as assigned

Job requirements for these positions:
  • Must have at minimum a Bachelor's Degree
  • Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering or Material Science Engineering preferred
  • Experience with polymers, metals, ceramics, & composites
  • Understanding of industrial temperature measurements systems above 2,000 C
  • Understanding of carbon-carbon composite manufacturing processes
  • Experience with an AS9100, ISO 9011 or similar quality system
  • Knowledge of 
    • Composites
    • Carbonization
    • Densification
    • Pyrolysis
    • Textiles
    • Pressure Valves

  • Ability to stand and walk for duration of shift
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs
  • Ability to squat, stoop, bend, kneel, twist and reach
