Do have experience in drafting and design? We are looking for you! Luttrell Staffing Group Roanoke, VA is now hiring Project Design Engineer in Salem, VA.

Details for Project Design Engineer position:

Full-Time
Direct Hire
Salary: 60-65k per year

Can you see yourself in this Project Design Engineer position?

Performs mechanical design of pressure vessel parts, components and assemblies
Creates CAD models, including part and assembly drawings, BOMs and calculations to support manufacturing
Ensures designs meet latest ASME Section VIII Division I Pressure Vessel Code requirements
Participates in technical reviews of requirements, specifications, designs and codes
Ensures designs conform to all applicable specifications and standards
Ability to work with various departments to facilitate the orderly execution of proposed project plans
Account for possible project challenges or constraints and proactively seek to manage challenges

Qualifications for Project Design Engineer:

A.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
2 years mechanical design experience
Proficiency with CAD and Microsoft Office
B.S.M.E. Mechanical Engineering or B.S.E.T. Mechanical Engineering Technology
Proficiency with Microsoft Project
Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor or Solidworks
Strong fabrication/welding knowledge
Understanding of ASME Section VIII Division 1 rules
Understanding of pressure vessel design
Understanding of JD Edwards/Oracle ERP system
