Duties for Project Electrician | Project Mechanic positions:

  • Support ongoing plant production goals by performing a variety of electrical tasks
  • Perform field wiring, power, controls and communication wiring, conduit installations and panel fabrications
  • Work directly with outside contractors and machinery vendor representatives/technicians in supporting equipment overhauls/installations
  • Troubleshoot and perform adjustments and repairs necessary during setup of equipment and systems
  • Perform emergency repairs on electrical equipment
  • Design, fabricate and/or modify conveyor transitions
  • Review and provide input to engineering drawings
  • Quote jobs for materials and estimate time required for successful completion
  • Use plant equipment for staging and installation
  • Clean and maintain work area
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications for these positions:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Formal apprenticeship or 5 years related work experience
  • Precision measuring ability and technical reading/writing skills
  • Good computer skills
  • Electrical fabrication and assembly skills
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
  • Associate degree in related field preferred
  • Journeyman level electrician preferred
  • Knowledge of NEC required
  • Welding and fabrication experience
  • Strong problem solving and decision making skills
  • Experience working with 480V
  • Knowledge of and ability to use a variety of hand and measuring tools
  • Hand dexterity
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to squat, stoop, bend, twist, kneel and reach
