Luttrell Staffing Group is currently hiring Public Utility Technician positions in Wytheville, VA.
Details for Public Utility Technician Position:
· $15 / Hour

Job Duties for Public Utility Technician Position:
· Maintain and clean equipment and tools, inspecting after use
· Drive trucks under 10,000 lbs and assist with loading, hauling, and unloading equipment and materials
· Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance, reporting issues to supervisor
· Help maintain accurate inventory of materials for construction, maintenance, and repair of Town infrastructure
· Complete required Town-provided safety and skills training and certifications
· Assist with traffic control at work sites as needed
· Work as part of a team and communicate clearly during construction, maintenance, operation, repair, and replacement of Town water and sanitary sewer infrastructure, including pavement cutting, sewer and water line repair, installation of new connections, and operation of infrastructure systems
· Follow all policies and safety procedures in place
· Completes any other related tasks as needed
Qualifications for Public Utility Technician Position:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· 12 months experience in water distribution and sanitary sewer construction, maintenance, operation, and repair
· Skilled in operating tools and equipment required for assigned tasks
· Valid driver’s license required; CDL preferred
· Able to use hands and arms to operate tools, controls, and equipment
· Ability to stand for duration of shift
· Ability to lift up to 25-100 lbs
· Ability to stoop, bend, squat, kneel, twist, climb, smell, balance, and reach
