Key Duties for Quality Lab Technician positions:
- Inspect and test materials according to the proper lab procedures and provide technical support and appropriate information flow
- Operate and maintain visual inspection machines
- Collect and prepare samples for inspection and testing
- Perform tests in all stages of manufacturing
- Perform in-process inspection and analysis of product and processes
- Record data and observations and communicate results
- Perform set up, inspection, preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on various lab equipment
- Maintain clean and tidy work environment
- Other duties as assigned
These skills make you a good candidate for these positions:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Technical or Associate Degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of previous related experience in a manufacturing environment
- Minimum of 3 years of previous related laboratory experience
- Understanding of statistical methodology
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good mathematical skills
- Competency in computer work processing and spreadsheet applications
- Ability to use precision measuring devices
- ISO and procedure writing experience preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand for duration of shift
