Job Description
Do you have fabrication experience? Luttrell Staffing Group is currently hiring Sewing Machine Operator positions in Knoxville, TN.
Details for Sewing Machine Operator position:
· $15 / Hour
· Monday-Thursday | 7:30am-4:30pm and Friday-7:30am-1:30pm
· Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire
· Zero Fees - you’ll never be charged for any screening service
· Weekly Pay
Job Duties for Sewing Machine Operator:
· Assemble, sew, measure, and cut custom drapery fabrics
· Inspect materials (including trims, thread, and pull staples) for flaws and finished products for quality
· Use various cutting tools and sewing machines to meet specifications
· Assist Supervisor in improving process efficiencies
· Fold, package, and label finished products for shipping
· Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area and machines
· Report machine issues and unsafe conditions to Supervisor and Maintenance
· Provide assistance in other departments as needed
· Use of: Scissors, needles, snips seam rippers, rotary cutters, and stand-up/sit down sewing machines
· Follow all policies and procedures in place
· Completes any other related tasks as needed
Qualifications and Desired Skills for Sewing Machine Operator:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Preferred sewing skills include proficiency with single and double needle machines and sergers
· Team player with strong communication skills, capable of working independently and following instructions accurately
· Proficient with small hand and power tools
· Required vision abilities include close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
· Ability to stand for duration of shift
· Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
· Ability to stoop, bend, squat, kneel, twist and reach
