While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to hot/cold temperatures, concrete floors and the noise level can be loud.

Job Duties for Shear Machine Operator position:
- Set up and operate metal shear
- Cut metal sheets according to specifications
- Detect and report defective or questionable materials to the supervisor
- Perform assigned work to time standards and quality expectations
- Maintain the work area in a clean and orderly condition
- Follow safety rules
- Performs other duties assigned
Requirements for Shear Machine Operator position:
- GED or High School Diploma
- PPE: Safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toed shoes
- Ability to stand for duration of shift
- Hand dexterity
- Ability to lift 40 lbs
- Ability to squat, stoop, bend, kneel, twist and reach
