Luttrell Staffing Group is currently hiring Mechanic | Welder Assistant positions in Santa Maria, CA.

Key Duties for Mechanic | Welder Assistant:
- Responsible for truck inspection/care, efficient routing, paperwork and professional customer service
- Assist mechanics and welders in repairing and fabricating metal parts
- Prepare tools, equipment, and materials for daily tasks
- Clean and maintain work areas, machinery, and tools
- Support welding operations by holding, aligning, or clamping components
- Transport parts and materials to workstations as needed
- Follow all policies and safety procedures in place
- Completes any other related tasks as needed
Qualifications and Desired Skills for Mechanic | Welder Assistant:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Welding experience is a plus, it is not required
- Lube Tech Skills
- Strong work ethic and mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work collaboratively and contribute positively to the team
- Comfortable working in hot indoor and outdoor environments
- Hands-on approach with willingness to perform physically demanding tasks
- Experience or familiarity with welding and metal fabrication settings
- Ability to stand for duration of shift
- Must be able to walk, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, reach and grasp
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs
