Job Duties for the Supply Chain Specialist Position:
- Use inventory management systems to track orders and usage of items
- Monitor inventory levels
- Perform cycle counts and assist with physical inventory to ensure data accuracy
- Operate material‑handling equipment (carts, dollies) and observe safe lifting and handling practices
- Store and organize inventory in central supply and unit supply rooms, rotate stock, and maintain proper labeling and product identification
- Receive, inspect, and process incoming shipments; verify accuracy against purchase orders and resolve discrepancies with vendors or purchasing
- Follow hospital policies and regulatory requirements
Qualifications and Desired Skills for the Supply Chain Specialist Position:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- B.A. in Supply Chain, Materials Management, or Communications preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience required
- Show proficiency in basic computer, data entry and math skills
- Ability to stand for duration of shift
- Ability to lift up to 30-50 lbs independently
- Ability to stoop, bend, squat, kneel, twist and reach
