Job Duties for Tooling Maintenance Technician positions:
- Set up and prepare compression molding machines, installing molds, tools, and dies with proper alignment and configuration
- Adjust machine settings including temperature, pressure, and cycle times to meet production and quality standards
- Troubleshoot equipment issues, perform routine maintenance, and make repairs to minimize downtime and ensure reliability
- Conduct mold trials, test runs, and inspect finished products, adjusting processes to maintain quality
- Maintain accurate records of setups, adjustments, maintenance, and complete required production documentation
- Operate molding, CNC, thermoforming, cutting, and secondary shop equipment including drills, sandblasters, dryers, and ovens
- Follow all safety procedures and support plant and manufacturing leadership with production needs
- Completes any other related tasks as needed
Qualifications and Desired Skills for Tooling Maintenance Technician positions:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Follow AS9100 standards, documented procedures, and maintain traceability while ensuring aerospace, customer, and regulatory compliance
- Identify and report nonconformities, support corrective actions, and promote quality, safety, and continuous improvement
- Ability to read, interpret, and communicate procedures, safety rules, and technical information; complete reports and collaborate effectively
- Ability to perform basic math and measurements using calipers and apply problem-solving and critical thinking in varied situations
- Use Microsoft Word, Excel, and IQMS systems efficiently
- Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, time management, and strong communication skills
- Standing, walking, manual use, lifting up to 40 pounds, and maintaining visual accuracy
- Ability to stand for the duration of the shift
- Ability to stoop, bend, squat, kneel, twist, and reach
