Job Duties for Center Assistant | Driver Position:
- Frequent public contact and handling of confidential information
- Maintain up-to-date records according to program policies
- Ensure senior center is cared for and cleaned
- Conduct oneself professionally at all times
- Safely operate agency equipment and vehicles as assigned
- Assist Center Director with volunteer program development
- Attend required trainings and meetings
- Assume Center Director duties when necessary
- Stay current with regulations, policies, and procedures
- Maintain aging program vehicles and log usage
- Operate general office equipment
- Receive work review via oral or written reports
- Follow all policies and procedures in place
- Completes any other related tasks as needed
Qualifications and Desired Skills for Center Assistant | Driver Position:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CPR, First-Aid, Bloodborne Pathogens, and other required certifications
- Preferred additional related work experience
- Valid driver’s license and clean background
- Knowledge of federal and state laws for food preparation and handling
- Knowledge of federal and state laws for supportive services
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Skilled in record keeping
- Ability to lift and boxes/cartons up to 50 lbs to and unload van
- Ability to stoop, bend, squat, kneel, twist and reach
