Details for Welder Position:

Job Duties for Welder Position:
- Perform all tasks with safety as the top priority and follow company policies and regulations
- Set up and operate welding equipment to complete structural welds on beams, plates, flanges, and assemblies
- Read and follow drawings and specifications to select proper materials, settings, and techniques
- Perform various welds including fillet, butt, lap, and multi-position welds to ensure strength and quality
- Use hand tools, gauges, and measuring devices to fit, prepare, and finish materials
- Operate hoists and overhead cranes to move and position materials
- Clean, grind, and prepare surfaces before and after welding
- Inspect work, identify defects, and report equipment or material issues
- Maintain accurate records and assist with training or guiding helpers
- Keep work area and equipment clean, organized, and in proper condition
- Completes any other related tasks as needed
Qualifications and Desired Skills for Welder Position:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Welding experience, certificate
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, squat, kneel, twist, and lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly during shifts
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and move throughout the facility
- Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including overtime
- Focus on quality, productivity, and safety
